Nora Ariffin, SVP
LANGUAGES SPOKEN: French
Nora Ariffin has enjoyed great success since entering real estate in 2004, not just because she's done exceptionally well building her business; but because she's also forged strong client relationships that continue to endure.
Nora's fast track in residential sales began early on. Nominated Rookie of the Year after her first year in the business, she went on to quickly become a Halstead Vice President, and earn membership in the firm's prestigious Producer's Council, and Gold and Platinum Circles. Yet Nora's biggest reward has been the many accolades, as well as referrals and repeat business she's received from satisfied clients.
A Manhattan resident for nearly 20 years, Nora enjoys using her energy, talent and focus to help navigate buyers and sellers through the intricate NYC real estate process. Her market knowledge and hands-on approach instills confidence and awareness throughout each step in a transaction so the best decisions can be made. Nora's effectiveness working with people and understanding their needs – the cornerstone in any successful client relationship – was cultivated while working with fashion photographers and directors, and interacting with people of diverse cultural backgrounds during her illustrious modeling career.
Born and raised in Singapore, Nora left home at age 16 for the runways of Paris, France, where she achieved international fame as the first Asian model to represent 'ALLURE' for Chanel Perfume. Soon Seventh Avenue took notice, and Nora ultimately relocated to Manhattan. There, she earned recognition as the face of L'Oreal Feria Hair worldwide, plus appeared three stories high on a Times Square billboard. While modeling, she also completed a professional actor training program in New York, resulting in her appearance in many national commercials plus the starting role in two feature films, one of which gained international success.
Fluent in English, French and Malay, Nora has lived abroad in Europe and South Africa, as well as San Francisco. She brings a worldly perspective to her work, as she does a local knowledge of the city she loves so dear. Whether you are seeking or selling a home in Manhattan or Brooklyn, Nora will provide the expert guidance and quality service you truly deserve.
Christopher Kromer, VP
Certified Negotiation Expert
Christopher Kromer makes a great first impression. He is likeable, funny, and very smart. Dig a little deeper and you start to realize that here is a talented young real estate professional who has mastered the fine art of listening — a skill that stands him in great stead in his most demanding chosen field.
While Christopher is justly proud of this ability, what he gives in return is a hefty dose of honesty, forthrightness, and professionalism. Whether it's working closely with buyers to help them find just the right home and to negotiate the most advantageous deal, or working side by side with sellers to effectively market their homes to the most qualified buyers, his priority is to provide the utmost level of personalized service to his clients.
No stranger to the world of real estate — his mother is a successful broker — Christopher adds another valuable dimension to his work. He worked as a financial consultant with Ernst & Young LLP for three years, a background that equips him well for the intricate and often complicated deals that characterize the tricky waters of the New York City real estate market. Combine this financial acumen with his passion for working with people, and it's no wonder he generates so much confidence in his clients.
An alumnus of Rutgers University, Christopher has made New York City his home for over 12 years — living mostly on the Upper East and Upper West Side — experience that translates into a deep and clear understanding of the current New York real estate market. He particularly enjoys sharing his personal knowledge and analysis with first-time buyers with whom he continues to build and maintain strong and mutually rewarding relationships. This, he asserts, is the best part of his job!
A multi-dimensional human being, Christopher is a former classical pianist who has played at Carnegie Hall. In his spare time, he continues to devote himself to the arts: as an actor he has created lead roles Off-Broadway; currently he hosts the television show “Cool in your Code” on NYC-TV, a hip neighborhood “Infotainment” show that explores New York City from the inside out; and devotees of HGTV will enjoy seeing him on their nationally aired special, “25 Biggest Real Estate Mistakes.”
